Purpose and no promise of representation
The submission system allows artists, writers, producers, managers, or authorized representatives to send music or project information to Blindbandit Records for possible review. Submission does not create an artist-label relationship, management relationship, fiduciary duty, confidentiality agreement, publishing deal, distribution deal, employment relationship, or obligation to respond.
Authority to submit
The sender represents that they are legally authorized to submit the material for evaluation and to provide the associated information and files. If the sender acts for other writers, performers, producers, owners, or an organization, the sender represents that they have authority to make the submission on their behalf.
Ownership remains with the submitter
Except for the limited review permission below, ownership does not transfer merely because a demo is submitted. Any later rights transfer, license, distribution grant, exclusive commitment, royalty arrangement, or commercial release requires a separate agreement signed or accepted through a legally valid process.
Limited review permission
The sender grants the operator a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to receive, store for the applicable review period, copy as technically necessary, stream internally, transcode where necessary for review, share with authorized internal reviewers or professional advisers, and otherwise process the submission solely for evaluation, communication, security, recordkeeping, and negotiation.
Similarity and unsolicited ideas
Blindbandit Records and its artists may already be developing music, titles, concepts, artwork, business ideas, themes, or projects that resemble submitted material. Similarity alone does not establish copying or an obligation to compensate the submitter. Do not submit an idea that requires a separate confidentiality agreement unless one has been executed before disclosure.
Confidentiality
Unless a separate written confidentiality agreement applies, unsolicited submissions are not accepted on a confidential basis. The operator will nevertheless handle nonpublic submissions with reasonable business care and will not intentionally publish the submitted audio merely because it was sent for review.
No guarantee of review or response
Submission does not guarantee listening, review within a particular period, feedback, acceptance, rejection notice, release, playlist placement, distribution, promotion, investment, or a business offer. Automated receipt confirmation is not an artistic or commercial decision.
Rights and clearances
The sender represents that the material does not knowingly infringe copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, contractual, sample-clearance, or other rights. If the recording uses samples, beats, artwork, features, compositions, or third-party material, the sender is responsible for obtaining any rights required for the contemplated use.
Minors
A submitter who is not legally able to enter the contemplated agreement must disclose that fact before negotiations advance. Blindbandit Records may require participation and authorization from a parent, legal guardian, or legally authorized representative.
Technical safety
Do not submit executables, macros, archives containing unrelated files, malware, password-protected files that were not requested, or content designed to exploit the website or reviewer device. The service may scan, reject, quarantine, or delete unsafe files.
Retention and deletion
Submissions may be retained for a reasonable review and recordkeeping period, then deleted or archived according to the Privacy Policy and internal retention schedule. A deletion request can be limited by an active negotiation, dispute, legal hold, fraud investigation, contractual duty, or other lawful preservation need.
Marketing separation
Submitting music does not automatically subscribe the sender to promotional marketing. Marketing requires a separate signup or other lawful basis.
Professional conduct
A rejection or non-response does not authorize harassment, threats, impersonation, repeated abusive resubmission, or attempts to bypass technical limits. The operator may block abusive submissions while preserving ordinary future opportunities for good-faith artists.
Professional review notice
These public documents explain current website practices and user expectations. They are not a substitute for advice from a lawyer or regulator about a particular person, contract, jurisdiction, or dispute. Applicable rights that cannot lawfully be waived remain available.
