The Foundation’s governing documents authorize scholarships, grants and charitable assistance, but no open application program is represented here until funding, eligibility rules, Board approval and compliance systems are in place.
Objective selection
Programs should use published or documented eligibility criteria, mission-related selection standards and records sufficient to explain why an award was made.
Conflict safeguards
Directors, officers, founders, relatives and related entities should not receive preferential treatment because of insider status.
Monitoring
Where appropriate, grants may use agreements, receipts, progress reports, expenditure reports or other reasonable controls to protect charitable assets.
