Today we're opening the doors: Blind Bandit for iPhone is now in public beta on TestFlight. Anyone with an iPhone can join, try the app before its App Store release, and help shape what it becomes.
Blind Bandit is built accessibility-first, and the iPhone app carries that forward with full VoiceOver support. Now we want to hear how it works for you.
How to join the Blind Bandit beta
Joining takes about a minute:
- Install TestFlight. TestFlight is Apple's free app for testing beta software. Download it from the App Store on your iPhone.
- Open the invitation link. On your iPhone, open the Blind Bandit public beta invitation on TestFlight.
- Tap Accept, then Install. TestFlight adds Blind Bandit to your Home Screen. Open it and sign in, or create your account.
TestFlight keeps you up to date as new beta builds are released.
If the link says the beta isn't accepting testers yet
If TestFlight says this beta isn't accepting testers, Apple's beta review is still finishing. Please check back shortly and open the link again.
What's inside the beta
Accessible calls and messaging
Talk with the Blind Bandit community through voice calls and direct messages, designed with screen reader users in mind.
Your own @username
Every account gets a unique @username, so friends can find, message and call you without sharing an email address or phone number. You can change your username once every 30 days.
The native Chronicle reader
Read the Blind Bandit Chronicle in a native reader on your iPhone.
Ambient ringtones and text tones
Choose from ambient ringtones and text tones for your Blind Bandit calls and messages.
Push alerts
Get push notifications from Blind Bandit, such as new messages and new Chronicle stories.
Full VoiceOver support
The app is built to work with VoiceOver throughout. If anything sounds wrong, is unlabelled or gets skipped, that's exactly the feedback we want.
Why a public beta?
We'd rather build Blind Bandit with the people who use it than guess at what they need. The beta helps us find bugs, fine-tune accessibility and polish the experience before the App Store launch. Every report you send makes the app better for everyone.
Share your feedback
You can send feedback right from TestFlight: take a screenshot in the app, or open TestFlight and tap Send Beta Feedback. You can also reach us through the Blind Bandit contact page. Tell us what works, what doesn't, and what you'd love to see next.
Thank you for testing, and welcome to Blind Bandit on iPhone. Join the Blind Bandit TestFlight beta now.
