What a collaboration credit tells you

“Featuring” means a guest appears on another artist’s release. The lead artist is named first. A featured credit does not mean an artist is signed to Blindbandit Records. If you want to propose a collaboration, prepare a short brief with the collaboration brief builder and agree credits and splits in writing before release.

How to listen to a collaboration

Listen once for the whole song, then again focusing only on the guest.
Notice how the song changes when the second voice arrives.
Follow the guest artist on their own official profiles; that is the best thanks for a feature.

For artists thinking about collaborating

Agree who is the lead artist and how the title and credits will appear.
Put splits and permissions in writing before release; the royalty split checker helps you confirm they add up to 100%.
