The collaboration brief builder turns an idea for a feature, remix, production or writing session into a clear written brief. A good brief tells a collaborator what you want, when you need it and what you are offering, before anyone starts work.
How to use it
- Enter the project or song title and your name or artist name.
- Add who you would like to work with, the role you are asking for, a target date and the proposed budget or terms.
- Describe the creative direction and the deliverables or references.
- Choose Build brief, then Copy or Download the result.
Screen-reader and keyboard tips
Results appear in a live region, so VoiceOver, NVDA, JAWS and TalkBack read the answer as soon as it is ready without moving your focus. Press Tab to move between fields and Shift+Tab to go back. On an iPhone or iPad, swipe right with one finger to move through the form and double-tap to activate a button.
- Fields you leave empty appear as “To be confirmed” or “To be discussed” so the brief still reads clearly.
- The finished brief is plain text with capitalised section headings, which are easy to find when reading by line.
Ways people use it
- Approaching a producer or featured artist for the first time.
- Agreeing expectations before a remix or co-writing session.
- Keeping a record of what was originally agreed.
Questions and answers

Privacy
The brief is created in your browser and is not sent to the label. Read the Privacy Policy for details.
