The release metadata checklist walks through what a distributor needs before a release goes out: exact artist names, titles, credits, rights, final audio files and artwork. Ticking each item and saving your progress helps avoid rejected or delayed releases.
How to use it
- Work through each item and tick it when it is complete.
- Choose Save progress. The page tells you how many checks are complete.
- Choose Download checklist for a dated text copy, or Start over to clear it.
Screen-reader and keyboard tips
Results appear in a live region, so VoiceOver, NVDA, JAWS and TalkBack read the answer as soon as it is ready without moving your focus. Press Tab to move between fields and Shift+Tab to go back. On an iPhone or iPad, swipe right with one finger to move through the form and double-tap to activate a button.
- Each item is a standard checkbox; press Space to tick or untick it.
- After saving, the live status line announces how many of the release checks are complete.
Ways people use it
- Preparing a single, EP or album for distribution.
- Checking credits and rights before a collaboration is released.
- Keeping a record of what was confirmed and when.
