The date calculator counts the number of days between two dates, or finds the date that falls a chosen number of days before or after another date.
How to use it
- Choose “Days between dates” or “Add or subtract days” in the Calculation list.
- Enter the starting date.
- For days between dates, type the ending date as YYYY-MM-DD, for example 2026-12-25. To add or subtract, type a number of days instead, such as 30 or -14.
- Choose Run tool to see the answer. When you add or subtract days, the resulting date is read in full, including the weekday.
Screen-reader and keyboard tips
Results appear in a live region, so VoiceOver, NVDA, JAWS and TalkBack read the answer as soon as it is ready without moving your focus. Press Tab to move between fields and Shift+Tab to go back. On an iPhone or iPad, swipe right with one finger to move through the form and double-tap to activate a button.
- Date fields work differently across browsers. If the date picker is hard to use with your screen reader, you can usually type the date directly into the field.
- Use a minus sign to count backwards, for example -90 to find the date 90 days earlier.
Ways people use it
- Counting the days until a release date, trip or deadline.
- Finding a date 30, 60 or 90 days after a contract or invoice date.
- Checking how long ago something happened.
Questions and answers
Does it count the start date?
It counts whole days between the two dates, not including the start date. Add one if you need both dates included.
Are time zones a problem?
Calculations use your device’s local calendar, so whole-day results are not affected by time zones.
Privacy
Dates stay on your device and are not saved. Read the Privacy Policy for details.
